Gary Wheeler Coaching and Consulting

Gary’s early work experience was in the food service industry as a manager for Shoney’s Big Boy, Enterprises and an Area General Manager for Pizza Hut, Inc.  After eight-years in fast food, Gary embarked upon a 24-year career with United Parcel Service (UPS) working in a variety of assignments in package delivery operations, industrial engineering and Human Resources (HR).  Other prior responsibilities include UPS Corporate Workforce Diversity & Compliance Manager and administrative coordinator for UPS’s Corporate Strategic Initiatives Program, “The Winning Team”.     

Gary received a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland University College.  He obtained a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.  Gary also holds four HR certifications:  Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Certified Benefits Professional (CBP).   

Gary has served on the Human Resource Certification Institute Board (HRCI), the WorldatWork Compensation Advisory Board, SHRM-Atlanta Board, and the SHRM Georgia State Council.  Gary’s resume also includes President of SHRM-Atlanta in 2005.

Executive Coaching 

After conducting a comprehensive assessment of the performance of the business I help the business owner/executive implement strategies that will increase revenue, improve productivity and/or decrease costs (time, team and money).  Together we will design performance measures to ensure the mentee is receiving value from the experience.
