Company Description:
My name is Christine Shepard and I am a 21-year-old culinary and visual artist. Originally from California, I am now located in Miami, Florida for study at the University of Miami. I am finishing a double degree in with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media from the School of Communication and a Bachelor of Art in Ecosystems Science and Policy.
My passion that transcends all aspects of my academic and personal life is for healthy living - especially through creative cooking. My philosophy in the kitchen is simple - creatively combine simple, whole foods into dishes that taste better than all the processed, artificial foods tempting us each day. Food should be beautiful, colorful, creative, fresh, and pure. It is, after all, the building blocks for our body to function, repair, and grow. I am committed to sharing my knowledge and passion for healthy living and cooking with friends, family, and as many others as I can reach.
In my view, cooking is not a science, it is an art. Seasonal, fresh produce inspires me to create new "recipes" each week (recipes being a flexible guideline for flavor combinations). I have and continue to host dinner parties, showing my guests how to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. Resourcefulness, creativity, and love are the main ingredients in all of my dishes.
